Chase Gregory Jones

I am an attorney licensed in Oregon, Texas, and Washington. My practice is built around clear communication, practical problem solving, and helping clients understand their options so they can make informed decisions about important legal matters.

I did not take a traditional path to becoming a lawyer. Before entering the legal profession, I spent nearly two decades working in information technology and later taught middle school. While working and raising my three sons, who are now grown, I returned to college, attended law school part time, and earned my Juris Doctor in 2009, becoming an attorney at age 40.

Those experiences still shape the way I practice law. Technology taught me to analyze complicated problems and look for workable solutions. Teaching reinforced the importance of explaining difficult subjects clearly. And being the father of three grown sons has given me a lasting appreciation for how deeply legal problems can affect families and the people within them.

After many years practicing in Texas, I relocated to Portland and established my Oregon practice while continuing to represent selected Texas clients. I am particularly committed to providing respectful and affirming representation to LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and I believe every client deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and given straightforward advice.

To me, being a good lawyer means more than knowing the law. It means understanding the person I am representing, identifying what actually needs to be solved, and helping find a practical way forward.
